People get so caught up in wanting to blend in and look like everyone else that they lose their true identity. When you see something or someone on TV you either want it or you want to look like them. People will go to any extreme to look "normal" or "cool", but they don't realize that they are losing who they truly are and hurting themselves in the process.
At first Doll Face is just changing herself a little, which is okay at the beginning because it's just trying something different. But then she starts to change her whole appearance which is when she starts to loose the true her. This part is showing how she's okay when she just starts to put a little makeup on, you can just "fix" your appearance a little and still be the true you as long as you don't get caught up in it all and it becomes more important than anything else. By the end, she ends up stretching herself past where she can go to follow the TV that she ends up falling and breaking herself in the process. I think the last part symbolizes how far some people will go to fit in with the crowd they want to be part of. Some people could end up hurting themselves in many ways by changing who they really are. They could get so lost in the TV and their appearances that they forget what's really important to them or they could make all these changes and still not be accepted by the group the want to be part of.
People can really get a lot out of this video if they really watch and analyze it. Most people would turn it off before it was over, but it really is a video with a good message. It's a lot like a book, if you just take it for whats on the page, or on the screen, you most likely won't like the book or book, but if you look deeper into the actual purpose of why it was made you'll probably like it as lot more.
